Flachau – „The most modern skiing area of Austria!“
Flachau is known all over the world as a venue for the Skiing World Championships and this small village is an very important centre for skiing during the winter season. The region around Flachau has become a historic „Ski-dorado“. In 1936, the first chair lift was installed here. Since this date, this small village in the Salzburg has been going “uphill” all the way.
